If you’ve been to a LIFT Charity Golf Tournament before, you already know why we call it The Best Day of the Year.
If you haven’t…this is the year.
It’s hard to believe we’re heading into year fourteen.
Who remembers that first tournament at San Juan Hills? Chris was in the hospital with his wife Candice welcoming their daughter, Callie, into the world. Mike and Paul stepped in and made sure the tournament happened. We had a dozen or so golfers, poured what we could into the local community, and had a blast. None of us had any idea that little tournament would grow into what it is today.
Fast forward fourteen years.
This September we’ll welcome 144 golfers back to Monarch Beach Golf Links for our 13th consecutive year at Monarch. For a lot of us, this date gets circled on the calendar months in advance.
We’ve always said the golf is just the excuse.
Sure, you’ll spend the day on one of the most beautiful golf courses in California. There will be some friendly competition, a few bragging rights, and at least a few foursomes with some questionable scores.
But that’s not why people come back.
People come back because of the community.
One of the things we’re most proud of is that this tournament doesn’t feel like a fundraiser. It feels like a reunion. And when we get together big things happen for people who need us in our community.
Every year we reconnect with people we haven’t seen since the last tournament. We’ve got friends flying in from across the country. Clients introduce us to their families. Kids who used to be toddlers are now out there volunteering. Somewhere between the first tee and the last song of the night, you realize this has become something much bigger than a golf tournament.
Together, we’ve invested more than $1 million back into our local community.
When we stop and think about that, it’s pretty amazing what this group has accomplished.
Event Schedule
10:00 AM | VIP Experience Begins
The VIP Breakfast Lounge opens with breakfast, coffee, and exclusive access to the L.A.B. Golf Putting Contest, Hit It & Win It Challenge, and other VIP activities before everyone else arrives.
11:00 AM | Registration & Check-In
Check in, enjoy lunch, loosen up on the driving range, reconnect with friends, and get ready for the shotgun start. VIP golfers can also pick up their exclusive Good Boy Golf gift collection before the shotgun start.
12:00 PM | Shotgun Start
144 golfers.
The best day of the year officially begins.

5:00 PM | Hosted VIP Happy Hour
VIP spouses and guests enjoy cocktails and great company as groups come off the course.
5:30 PM | The 19th Hole Celebration
This is where the day really comes alive.
Live music, Izzy’s World Famous Tacos, the RastaRita Margarita Truck, awards, raffle prizes, and the debut of the LIFT Kids Zone make this one of everyone’s favorite parts of the day.
Not golfing? Join us for the 19th Hole Celebration! Spouse Passes and Celebration Tickets are available for anyone who wants to enjoy the food, drinks, live music, and evening festivities without playing golf. Bring the family! Children 12 & under attend free.

We built this tournament to be the kind of event we’d want to bring our own families to.
Bring your regular foursome. Invite a client. Bring your spouse for the evening. Make it a family day. However you spend the day, our hope is really simple, we want you leaving already talking about next year.
Monarch Beach is an incredible place to play.

The 19th Hole Celebration
If you’ve heard people talk about this tournament, you’ve probably heard them mention the 19th Hole Celebration.
There’s a reason.
When the last group walks off the course, nobody heads for their car.
The band starts playing. Cocktails start flowing. Families show up. The lawn fills with golfers, spouses, volunteers, and friends. The stories get better, the made putts get longer, and nobody seems to be in much of a hurry to leave.
This year we’re especially excited to launch the LIFT Kids Zone. One of our favorite parts of this tournament has always been seeing families enjoy the day together, and now the kids will have a place that’s every bit as much fun as the adults.
If you ask us, that’s exactly what LIFT should look like.
And if you ask someone who’s been here before what their favorite part of the day is…
There’s a good chance they’ll tell you it starts around 5:30 PM.
Why We Do It
At the end of the day, this has never really been about golf.
Golf just happens to be what brings us together.
The real purpose has always been investing in people. Every registration, sponsorship, raffle ticket, and donation helps us support local families, foster youth, children battling illness, and nonprofit partners throughout Orange County who are doing incredible work every single day.
That’s why we keep coming back.
The golf is world-class.
The views don’t hurt.
But watching this community come together year after year is what keeps us inspired.
